Grades K-6

YMCA Specialty Camp encourages campers to think outside of the box and try new things! Experts will teach your child about a variety of different topics. Full and half day options are available.

Camp Info:

Camp day will run 7:00 am-6:00 pm
Specialty camp portion will run from 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Campers must be dropped off at location by 8:00 am for bussing

Week 1-STEAM Genius Camp: Grades 3-6

What is STEAM you ask? Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. Each day this week campers will work on fun projects geared towards this exciting topic. STEAM truly makes the world go round and will certainly intrigue your camper. You will feel like a genius after this week.

Week 2-Mini STEAM Genius Camp: Grades K-2

Campers will learn a little about each topic of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Different STEAM activities geared toward this age group will make up each day. STEAM makes the world go around. You will feel like a mini genius after this camp.

Week 3-Hip, Hip Hooray Cheer and Baton Play Camp: Grades 3-6

Learn the fundamentals of cheering. Includes age-appropriate basic skills that are unique to cheerleading including chants, dance, motions and more!

DATES: Week 3: June 19-23

Week 4-Mini Hip, Hip Hooray Cheer and Baton Play Camp : Grades K-2

Learn the fundamentals of cheering. Includes age-appropriate basic skills that are unique to cheerleading including chants, dance, motions, and baton twirls!

Week 5-Art Attack Camp: Grades 3-6

No CPR needed for this fun week of camp! This week campers will splash into color and crafting with pottery and cement. A visit to Yellowstone coffee and canvas will be a treat as the week kicks off and ending with a tour and project at the YAM.

Week 6-Scuba Camp: Ages 8-12

We are partnering with Adventure Scuba to provide this underwater adventure! Campers will need to be at school no later than 8am for this camp. Bus leaves at 8am.

MEET DAVE BAKKER: Dave has been introducing divers to the underwater world for over 20 years. He teaches all levels of Diving and will be leading Scuba camp this summer.

Week 7-Mini Art Attack: Grades K-2

Move over Crayola! There are no coloring books at this summer camp. This week will be filled with pottery, cement and glue just to name a few. The fun doesn’t stop there will visits to Coffee and Canvas and the Billings Yellowstone Art Museum.

Week 8-Community Collaboration Week: Grades K-2

This camp is designed to help educate and entice your camper to get active finding their inner fitness guru. This week will be full of fitness, fun, and safety. Every aspects included will you’re your camper have an all-around healthy mind, spirit, and body.

Week 9-Trail Blazer Adventure Camp: Grades 3-6

This camp is only for those who want to get up, get out and get moving. The weeks activities will keep your camper busy with local adventures. We will learn about plant life, take a trip to Zoo Montana, have an activity with the Audubon Center, take a road trip to Red Lodge and hike a few local trails.

Week 10-Mini Trail Blazer: Grades K-2

Just because your little does not mean you do not like adventures. This camp will get your little up, out and moving. Campers will stay busy all week with Zoo Montana, the Audubon Center, Red Lodge and much more.
