About the YMCA Military Membership Program

In partnership with the Department of Defense, the Armed Services YMCA is proud to offer a 6-month paid-in-full gym membership at YMCA facilities across the country, including the Billings Family YMCA. This free YMCA military membership exists to support readiness and wellness for service members and their families by providing access to a community fitness environment.

The DoD YMCA program is eligible for qualified military personnel and their families through the Military Outreach Initiative. Those eligible for this program are:

1. Active Duty military personnel assigned to an Independent Duty Station without a Service-provided fitness facility.
2. Unaccompanied spouses and family members of deployed Active Duty, National Guard, and Army Reserve members.
3. Participants in the Warrior Transition Unit / Warrior Care Unit and their families.

Eligibility for YMCA military membership is determined by the Department of Defense, not the Billings Family YMCA. To be eligible, service members must be on Title 10 orders with a minimum of six months of service time remaining when they apply for membership.

What’s Included With a Billings Family YMCA Military Membership?

A gym membership for military personnel and veterans with the Billings Family YMCA includes the following:

• Complete access to our fitness center, gym, cardio and strength training equipment, swimming pool, and group exercise classes.
• Wellness programs in a supportive, community environment designed to help you grow stronger in body, mind, and spirit.
• Full access for applicable military family members.
• Access to participating YMCA locations throughout the United States.

Veteran & Military Discount Options at Billings Family YMCA

Veterans applying for a membership at the Billings Family YMCA won't have to pay an initiation fee. Veteran gym memberships also include 10% off monthly membership fees. Military ID must be provided to be eligible for these discounts. We have the deepest appreciation for the service of our veterans and are honored to offer them ongoing health and wellness support at our YMCA.

How to Apply for a Military Gym Membership at the YMCA

1. Contact Military OneSource, the DoD program overseeing the Military Outreach Initiative. Their phone number is 1-800-342-9647.
2. Confirm your eligibility for a YMCA military membership through the DoD. Please note that YMCA staff cannot directly approve your eligibility.
3. Receive and fill out the eligibility form.
4. Submit the filled out documentation for approval.
5. Once approved, activate your membership with the Billings Family YMCA.
