Get the support you need with Preschool Child Care at the Y. Our YMCA values-based program will help your young child learn essential social, physical, and intellectual building blocks. In Y Preschool programs your child will develop skills to build character values and self-esteem, and improve kindergarten readiness. We base our educational and guidance decisions for children on our knowledge of child development.
Preschool
Preschool Open House: Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 7:00 pm. Meet your staff open house night will be held in the preschool room here at the YMCA.
The YMCA Preschool Program provides children ages 3 through 5 years old a creative and educational curriculum that will help them grow and develop into confident, caring, happy individuals. Our students will focus on kindergarten readiness by utilizing the Zoo Phonics program and stay active by participating in swim lessons and other stimulating activities. Students will learn the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors through hands-on activities from a licensed teacher. A $30 non-refundable registration fee is applied for each child. Payments are made through a monthly bank draft on the15th of each month. First draft will be August 15, 2024.
PRESCHOOL COST AND CLASS TIMES:
3-4 YEAR OLDS (must be potty trained and turn 3 by August 31, 2024)
- Tuesday/Thursday Class at 8:30-11:30 a.m.
- $30 non-refundable registration fee is applied for each child.
- Members: $165/Month
- Community: $256/Month
- This class will run Sept. 10, 2024 – June 6, 2025.
4-5 YEAR OLDS
- Monday/Wednesday/Friday Class at 8:30-11:30 a.m.
- $30 non-refundable registration fee is applied for each child.
- Members: $198/Month
- Community: $289/Month
- This class will run Sept. 11, 2024 – June 6, 2025.
- A graduation ceremony will be held at the end of the school year.
Labor Day is Sept 2. The YMCA is closed.
Remind App:
Remind is a free text messaging app that helps us communicate with parents quickly and efficiently. We use this app to notify parents/guardians of any schedule changes. Parents can easily send a message to our Youth Development Director and receive responses promptly.
