Get the support you need with Preschool Child Care at the Y. Our YMCA values-based program will help your young child learn essential social, physical, and intellectual building blocks. In Y Preschool programs your child will develop skills to build character values and self-esteem, and improve kindergarten readiness. We base our educational and guidance decisions for children on our knowledge of child development.

Preschool

The YMCA Preschool Program provides children ages 3 through 5 years old a creative and educational curriculum that will help them grow and develop into confident, caring, happy individuals.

Our M, W, F students will focus on kindergarten readiness by utilizing the Zoo Phonics and Haggerty educational program. These two-curriculums aligned with skills needed for kindergarten.

Our T, Th classes will use the frog street curriculum. Frog street Students will learn the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors through hands-on activities from a licensed teacher. All week preschoolers will stay active by participating in swim lessons and other stimulating activities.

A $30 non-refundable registration fee is applied for each child. Payments are made through a monthly bank draft on the15th of each month.

PRESCHOOL COST AND CLASS TIMES:

3-4 YEAR OLDS (must be potty trained and turn 3 by August 31, 2025)

Tuesday/Thursday Class at 8:30-11:30 a.m.
$30 non-refundable registration fee is applied for each child.
This class will run Sept. 9, 2025 – May 21, 2026

4-5 YEAR OLDS (must be potty trained)

Monday/Wednesday/Friday Class at 8:30-11:30 a.m.
$30 non-refundable registration fee is applied for each child.
This class will run Sept. 8, 2025 – May 22, 2026
A graduation ceremony will be held at the end of the school year.

Labor Day is Sept 1. The YMCA is closed.
