(camp is based on the grade going into for the fall 2023-2024 school year)

Grades 1-7

Campers will explore the fun of summer through stories, songs, games and other weekly themed activities!  Your child will receive weekly swim lessons, take daily trips to the park, participate in exciting field trips, engage their imaginations through play-based learning and build confidence in a safe environment while having fun! 

*There is no camp July 4th.

Camp Info:

  • Monday-Friday 
    • 7:00am-6:00pm
    • Pickup and drop off at YMCA
    • Buses leave the Y at 10:15 am daily to local parks. Late campers will need to be dropped off at the park.
    • Please download the Remind App. It's our mass communication piece for all camps.
  • Weekly Field Trips
    • 1st & 2nd Grade: Thursdays
    • 3rd-7th Grade: Wednesdays
    • Campers must bring sack lunch on field trip days
    • Camper must wear camp shirt on field trip days.
  • Children may not be dropped off early or picked up late without making prior arrangements
  • A healthy breakfast, lunch and snack are provided unless otherwise noted
  • Lunch program, where lunch is provided will not begin until June 12- August 4.

 

Week 4: The Y's Got Talent: June 26-30

 

 

Got the summer blues? Well get out your dancing shoes. This week’s theme will highlight the diverse talents we all have. We will end the 

week with a talent show.

Location of talent show will be the YMCA

Week 5: Summer Week of Holidays: July 3-7 (Closed 4th of July)

 

*NO CAMP JULY 4TH*

Whose says Santa doesn’t like summer? This week’s theme will be all about these holidays with some extras.

Monday: Easter

Tuesday: Closed for the Fourth

Wednesday: Christmas for non-field trip grades 1st & 2nd

Thursday: Christmas for non-field trip grades 3rd & up

Friday: Halloween

Late Fee Begins: June 26

Field Trip: Rose Park Pool 1-2/3rd & up

 

 

Week 6: Back and Forth in Time: July 10-14

 

History is something we are all a part of each day! This week’s theme will dive into our past, present and future. Dress like an explorer, caveman or anyone in history or future each day. Campers wear camp shirts on field trips

1-2 Wise Wonders

3 & 4 Chief Plenty Coups State Park

5, 6, 7 Laurel Bowling and South Pond

 

Week 7: Wacky Sports & Then Some!: July 17-21

 

All the usual sports but with some added creativity and fun. This week’s theme will help kids get their creative competitive edge going.

Field Trip: Red Lodge Pool/Kids Kingdom 1-2/3rd & up

 

 

Week 8:County Treasure Hunters: July 24-28

 

Yellowstone County is such an amazing place. This week campers will learn a bit about their community and the treasures it holds.

Field Trip: Western Heritage Center/Yellowstone County Museum/Highland Park 1-2/3rd & up

 

 

Week 9: Hawaiian Hullabaloo: July 31-August 4

 

The Hawaiian Islands are coming to the Y. This week's them will find the inner coconut in us all. Ending with a Friday dress up celebration in your Hawaiian best, grass skirts included.
