Traditional Day Camp includes exciting field trips, swimming, trips to local parks and weekly themed activities!  

 

Traditional Camp

****All camp registrations must be paid in full at the time of registration.****

****No refunds will be available as camps are limited****

(camp is based on the grade going into for the fall 2024-2025 school year)

Grades 1-6

Campers will explore the fun of summer through stories, songs, games and other weekly themed activities!  Your child will receive weekly swim lessons, take daily trips to the park, participate in exciting field trips, engage their imaginations through play-based learning and build confidence in a safe environment while having fun! 

*There is no camp July 4th.

Camp Info:

  • Monday-Friday 
    • 7:00am-6:00pm
    • Pickup and drop off at YMCA
    • Buses leave the Y at 10:15 am daily to local parks. Late campers will need to be dropped off at the park.
    • Please download the Remind App. It's our mass communication piece for all camps.
  • Weekly Field Trips
    • 1st-2nd Grade: Thursdays
    • 3rd-6th Grade: Wednesdays
    • Campers must bring sack lunch on field trip days
    • Camper must wear camp shirt on field trip days.
  • Children may not be dropped off early or picked up late without making prior arrangements
  • A healthy lunch and afternoon snack are provided unless otherwise noted
  • Breakfast will not be provided this summer. Campers can bring a morning snack from home each day.
  • Lunch in the park program, where lunch is provided will not begin until Wednesday, June 12-Friday, August 16.
    • June 3-11 and August 19-23, please bring lunch from home each day.

 

Week 1: Crazy & Wild Camp Kick Off: June 3-7

This week will kick off our YMCA summer camp with some crazy fun, zany activities, and exciting adventures all while we get to know each other. Wild wonders will be found for sure.

Week 2: Amazing Animal Kingdom: June 10-14

This week’s theme will be all about nature and our environment. We will encompass everything we do around animals through games, crafts and more. Cute and cuddly, fierce and ferocious sums up this week.

Week 3: Dynamic Dancin’ Dino’s: June 17-21

Art is in the eye of the beholder. How true is this? This week’s theme will be all about your inner artist. We will end the week showcasing all that is created this week.

Week 4: Disney Days: June 24-28

It is small world after all. Get out your royal crowns and glass slippers for this week.

We will have fun dressing up, doing crafts, playing games and making our own Disney Magic this week.

Week 5: Bounce & Roll- Out of Control All Ball Week: July 1-5 (Closed 4th July)

*NO CAMP JULY 4TH*

This week will be a ball of fun. If ball is in the name we will try it. Wall ball, whiffle ball, beach ball, ball room dancing, and much more.

Week 6: Beach Bums and Rainbow Fun: July 8-12

What is beach life really like? We will spend some time playing on the beach, studying animals that like the beach and creating fun crafts with a splash of color.

Week 7: Frogs, Fairytales and Fantastic Beasts: July 15-19

This week is for those whose imagination has no limit. We will create our own fantastic beasts, learn about frogs and share our favorite fairytales. Dress up is encouraged this entire week.

Week 8:Camp Hollywood: July 22-26

Glitz, glamour and red carpet. Move over Kardashians, this week every camper will have a chance to be famous and shine under the Hollywood lights. No paparazzi needed!

Week 9: Summer Olympics: July 29- Aug 2

With the Olympics upon us we will compete right alongside our favorite Olympians. No matter what the event everyone is a winner this week!

Week 10: Backyard BBQ: Aug 5– Aug 9

We will go old school to the classic BBQ yard games this week. Egg toss, gunny sack and three-legged race just to name a few.

Let the wonders of water fill this week. We will spend time playing in and learning all about water and what lives in it.
