A team competition sport based on video games.

EGL Program Information
Students in EGL will compete in a game of their choice for the season (game list below). By competing in game days students will earn points towards qualifying for the national tournament at the end of the season.
Students will also take part in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) classes, both instructor lead, and self-work (curriculum listed below) to earn more points for the season. At the end of the season the top students will participate in the national EGL tournament. All other students will participate in an end of season event here at the YMCA.
- Ages: 12-15
- Session is 13 weeks (September 15-December 19)
- Classes limited to 25 students per school
- Cost: $10 (if they are on a scholarship, it is free)

Time: After school – 5:30 PM
FREE TIME: Lewis & Clark & Riverside - Games: FC25, Madden 25, NBA 2k25, Rocket League, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros, MLB The Show.
- STEAM Courses: Game Programming, Game Science, Game Writing, Game Production, Game Artistry, Cloud Engineering, Sound Design, Cybersecurity, Game Design, Artificial Intelligence.
- Transportation: YMCA busses will pick students up from their schools Monday-Friday and drop off at the YMCA
PARENTS MUST PICK THE STUDENTS UP FROM THE YMCA PRIOR TO CLOSE AT 9 P.M. - EGL Program Days
Students attend the program until 5:30 pm under staff supervision. After class, they may stay for free time. Pick-up required before the Y closes at 9 pm. - Free Time Days
When not in EGL class, students check in at the Y and are not under direct staff supervision and not required to stay at the Y. They may use the gyms, pools, fitness areas, or study/socialize with peers. Pick-up required before 9 pm.
