YMCA Volleyball League
At the Billings Family YMCA, we offer an annual competitive high school volleyball league for girls in grades 9-12. Teams of girls in grades 9-10 will be placed in a separate division from girls in grades 11-12 to provide a fair competition. Playing in our high school volleyball league will help girls stay fit, strengthen their skills, and learn how to cooperate as a team.
Benefits of Playing in Our High School Volleyball League
Playing in a high school volleyball league gives girls ages 13-19 the chance to stay active, build friendships, and grow their love for the game. Volleyball players will enjoy a fun, competitive environment where good teamwork and sportsmanship are just as important as winning matches. Our high school volleyball league also helps players to improve their fitness and their skills, and to gain confidence both on and off the court.
Skills Day At The YMCA
All players who wish to take part in the High School Volleyball league must attend a mandatory skills day.
Skills Day will be Monday, September 15 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Fortin Gym. Players will be broken into groups and run through a number of skills.
After the skills day, the teams will be assigned, and all players will be notified via email of what team they are on.
The Billings Family YMCA's high school volleyball league is open to all girls ages 13 to 19.
Volleyball players will be separated into teams based on both age and players' performance during a mandatory pre-season skills day.
9th and 10th graders usually play in a separate division than 11th and 12th graders to ensure fair play. However, younger players who demonstrate a high skill level during skills day may join older teams.
All games will be held at the Billings Family YMCA, located at 402 North 32nd Street, Billings, MT 59101. Ordinarily, 9/10 grade teams will play on Monday nights and 11/12 grade teams will play on Friday nights, but this is subject to change based on the number of teams in each division.
