Protecting Your Health & Safety
At the YMCA, our greatest priority has always been protecting the health and safety of all who enter our doors. In light of COVID-19, our team has been working around the clock to implement additional procedures and protocols to ensure a socially responsible environment that aligns with our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
What You Can Expect
Enhanced Cleaning & Disinfecting
We have implemented the latest cleaning protocols from the CDC. Areas of our facilities have rolling, brief closures throughout the day for cleaning and facility hours will be reduced to allow for additional disinfection at the start and end of each day. We have invested in electrostatic sprayers to ensure thorough disinfection.
Our staff has been trained in the latest cleaning and disinfection protocols provided by the CDC and are focused on the continual sanitization of all areas of our facility.
We’ve reconfigured spaces to allow for social distancing and added clear directional signage throughout our facility to direct the flow of traffic. You’ll find fitness equipment spaced out, lobbies free of excess furniture and markers on the floor to make social distancing easy.
Additional hand sanitizing stations and sanitizer wipes are available throughout our facility.
We highly encourage our members and guest to wear masks while in the YMCA. Staff and Afterschool Program participants are required to wear masks at this time.
All staff, volunteers and children in Y programs are temperature-screened. Anyone showing signs of COVID-19 or who has a temperature of 100.0 or higher will not be permitted to enter our facility, for the safety of all members.
To maintain our safety protocols, The Billings Family YMCA has updated entry doors to automatic non-touch doors.
Facility & Equipment Availability
To protect your health and safety, we have limited access to fitness equipment to ensure 6 feet social distancing is maintained. We continue to work on spacing equipment to open more equipment. We have also limited program participation.
As always, all will be required to scan in at the welcome desk to access the facility. Plexiglass shields have been installed at our welcome desks so that you are able to safely talk with staff.
To protect everyone’s health, water fountains will not be available. However, you will be able to use the bottle fillers.
Covid-19 Member & Program Policies
An updated Member list of policies will be in place to ensure we all work together to protect one another’s health and safety.
