Preschool through 9th Grade
(Preschool, Kinder, Traditional, Leadership)
Day camp features swimming, field trips, and weekly themed activities listed below. Campers will be exposed to new activities designed to teach independence and team building skills. Sign your child up for one, two or all the weekly adventures.
(Preschool camp does not participate in field trips).


Member registration begins April 1, non-member registration begins April 15. Register early to avoid late fees! Early registration ends 5 business days prior to the start of each camp week. There is a one-time $30 registration fee. CAMPS FILL UP FAST!

Camps are offered from June 3-August 16. Camper Drop-off and pick up will be available from 6:45am-6:00pm unless otherwise noted.

Preschool does not participate in field trips.
3-6 grade field trips will be on Wednesdays
K-2 grade field trips will be on Thursday
Leadership camp will help younger campers on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Campers must have a healthy sack lunch on their field trip day. The Y will provide snacks.

*The YMCA has partnered with School District #2 for the Lunch in the Park Program. June 10 through August 7 your child can eat lunch for free at the YMCA. Please note that the first and last week of camp AND July 3  are not included in this and your child will need a lunch. Your child will also need a lunch on field trip days.

WEEK 1:  June 1-5: ZOOFARI – Register by May 24 to avoid late fee!

Let’s start the summer off by jumping into the safari and learn all about the animals in our backyard. This week we will explore all the animals and habitats we can.
FIELD TRIP: Zoo Montana

WEEK 2:  June 8-12:  7 WONDERS OF WATER – Register by May 31 to avoid late fee!

Come explore beneath the surface with us as we learn more about the underwater world. There are so many Reefs to explore, so let’s have some fun creating our own!

WEEK 3:  June 15-19:  WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE – Register by June 7 to avoid late fee!

This week is all about animals. Where they live, what they eat, how they survive. Take notes and see if you can create a habitat of your own.
FIELD TRIP: Red Lodge Wildlife Sanctuary

WEEK 4:  June 22-26: EARTH, WIND & MAGIC- Register by June 14 to avoid late fee!

This week is all about knowledge. Learn how to fish on our field trip this week. Create magical experiments that represent the entire Earth. Make creations that exhibit what Earth is made of.
FIELD TRIP: The Floating Islands – Shepherd, MT

WEEK 5:  June 29 – July 3: CELEBRATION OF NATIONS- Register by June 21 to avoid late fee!
Help us dig deep into our roots and learn all about our ancestors and the history that comes with them. We’ll celebrate our Independence and what that means as well.

FIELD TRIP:  Hardin Museum of History

WEEK 6:  July 6-10:  BEACH DAYS- Register by June 28 to avoid late fee!

This week we will take a trip to the beach and dig into the sand. We will explore and learn all about the things we can find there.

WEEK 7:  July 13-17: WATER & WHEELS- Register by July 5 to avoid late fee!

Who doesn’t love water and things that have wheels? Come prepared with fun ideas to build anything with wheels. Add water and this week is sure to be a blast.

WEEK 8:  July 20-24:  DISCO DAYS- Register by July 12 to avoid late fee!

Take a step back to the days of groovy. Let’s relive the past and bring back fun, wacky hair do’s and clothes. Show us your take on the Disco Days!

WEEK 9:  July 27-31:  FUN & FITNESS AT THE Y OLYMPICS- Register by July 19 to avoid late fee!

Join us this week as we celebrate the Olympics and create a little fun of our own with some competitive activities. Come ready to be active all week and rack up some points for your team.
FIELD TRIP: Laurel- Bowling & Swimming

WEEK 10:  Aug. 3-7: WATER WORKS- Register by July 26 to avoid late fee!

We’re having a ROCKIN Beach Party with hula-hoop games, water balloon piñata, splish splash fun! All will come to a grand finale with a Luau.

WEEK 11:  Aug. 10-14:  SPLASH DOWN: CAMPERS VS. COUNSELORS- Register by August 2 to avoid late fee!
Join us in this splashtacular week as the campers take on the counselors in all things water. Who will come out on top? Come prepared to get wet all week.
