After careful consideration the Board of Directors and Management team made the decision to purchase the Peterson Office Building and warehouse located to the north of the YMCA (502 North 32nd Street). (This does not include the Treasure State Orthopedics building).
As some of you may recall we completed a market study last spring. The study indicated we could impact more community members at our downtown location if we offered additional programing. This new space gives us the opportunity to serve our mission to a great number of individuals.
We will be renovating the current Administrative offices into a multi-purpose space, which will be named the “Wellness Studio”. The space will be used to add group x classes, kid’s fitness classes, community programs as well as a space for our growing youth development programs.
The administrative team will be located in the Peterson Office building, at this time the warehouse will be used for additional storage. Staff that will be moving includes; Kim Kaiser, CEO, Wayne Moller, COO, Jennifer Kautz, Finance Director, Cindy McGinnis, Development Director, Tanya Callison, Accounting Associate and our Development Coordinator and Marketing and Communications Coordinator (currently hiring).
Timeline: The Administrative team will move July 11th – July 15th. Construction will being in the current Administrative Area on July 16th and is anticipated to be completed by the end of August.
